1. Who is the data controller
The controller of personal data of users of the "Alicante Guide" app (the "App") is Łukasz Chyrek Marketing, contact: chyrek@gmail.com.
2. What data we process and why
Your account (Google sign-in). When you sign in, we receive from your Google account: your e-mail address, name and account identifier. We use them solely to operate your account in the App. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Content you add. Your list of favourite places and the ratings and comments you leave. Approved comments are publicly visible in the App (without your name or e-mail address — we only show the rating, the text and the date). Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Anonymous visit statistics. We use Vercel Web Analytics — a tool that uses no cookies and does not track users across sites; it collects aggregated, anonymised data (e.g. page views, country, device type). Legal basis: the controller’s legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — improving the App.
Technical data. The servers running the App (Vercel, Supabase) keep standard logs (including IP address and request time) necessary for security and maintenance. Legal basis: the controller’s legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Device location. In the Transport section you can tap a button that shows the nearest stop. Only then does the browser ask for your consent and pass your position to the Application. The coordinates stay in your browser's memory only — we do not send them to our servers, do not store them and do not share them with anyone; distances to stops are calculated on your device. The Application does not track your location in the background. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time in your browser settings.
3. Cookies and local storage
The App uses only strictly necessary cookies and browser local storage:
- keeping you signed in (Supabase Auth),
- remembering technical settings (e.g. dismissing the install-to-home-screen message).
We use no advertising, marketing or tracking cookies. For this reason the App shows no cookie consent banner — consent is not legally required for cookies necessary to provide the service. If we ever add tools that require consent, a banner will appear first.
4. Ads
Ads and sponsored highlights in the App come directly from us (not from external ad networks), are labelled and do not track users — we only count aggregate impressions and clicks, with no link to an account or device. The App is not connected to any external advertising system.
5. Who processes data for us
We use services that process data on our behalf:
- Supabase (database and sign-in),
- Vercel (hosting the App and anonymous statistics),
- Google (Google sign-in — under Google’s privacy policy).
These providers may process data on servers outside the European Economic Area — such transfers rely on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. We do not sell your data or share it with other parties for marketing purposes.
6. How long we keep data
We keep account data, favourites and ratings until the account is deleted. You can delete the account yourself in the app: „More" → „Delete my account" — the data is removed immediately. You may also write to chyrek@gmail.com and we will delete it without undue delay, within 30 days at the latest. Aggregate visit statistics contain no data that could identify you.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You may also lodge a complaint with the President of the Polish Personal Data Protection Office (uodo.gov.pl). For data matters, write to chyrek@gmail.com.
8. Changes to this policy
We will announce material changes to this policy in the App. The current version is always available at https://alacant.pl/en/privacy-policy.
