The Mercadillo de Teulada, officially the Mercadillo José Manuel Gosálbez, is a municipal street market in Alicante's Florida district, near the José Rico Pérez stadium. It is the city's largest market by area, with 373 stalls spread over about 15,450 m². Alongside fruit and vegetables you'll find bread, cheese, nuts and dried fruit, spices, flowers and plants, plus clothes, shoes, accessories, household goods, costume jewellery, crafts, books and second-hand items. It is named after José Manuel Gosálbez, a city councillor whose career was in street trading, and was officially given his name in 2017. Note that it is in the city of Alicante, not in the town of Teulada-Moraira; city bus line 16 serves the area.
If Thursday or Saturday is a public holiday, the market is held on the previous working day.
