Mercadillo de Carolinas is a municipal street market in the Carolinas district of Alicante, set up on streets such as Manuel Senante and Doctor Nieto, next to the Mercado de Carolinas market hall. The city council allows up to 185 stalls selling fruit and vegetables, clothes, shoes and other goods. One visitor also mentions bags, paintings, herbs, flowers, eggs and pastries, and another review notes that local growers sell fruit and vegetables directly around the market hall. Reviewers describe it as a small, traditional neighbourhood market, and one finds it less touristy than the Mercado Central. In 2022, during the renovation of the market hall, the stalls were temporarily moved to Gasset y Artime street, returning to their usual spot in December 2022.
If Thursday or Saturday is a public holiday, the market is held on the previous working day.
