El Meu Foc is an intimate restaurant in Alicante specialising in Alicante-style rice dishes and meat and fish cooked over embers (a la brasa). The kitchen is led by Fernando Fernandes, a Venezuelan-born chef of Portuguese descent with more than 20 years' experience, who focuses on traditional Alicante cooking with a modern touch. The menu includes arròs del senyoret, black rice (arròs negre), oxtail rice with boletus mushrooms and fideuà, and there is also a menú arrocero with a choice of starter and a rice dish. Visitors praise the cosy atmosphere, attentive service and starters such as torreznos and ensaladilla rusa. Several reviewers point out that the restaurant is dog-friendly.
