BuenÍSimo is a classic, no-frills Spanish restaurant in Santa Pola, with simple wooden tables and a menu built around tapas, paella and fish and seafood dishes. It is full of locals and stays open outside the summer season too, when many restaurants in town are closed. A rare bonus is that paella can be ordered for just one person, and reviews also often mention the arròs a banda, fideuà, croquettes, cuttlefish, anchovies and aioli. According to reviews the portions are generous and the staff very friendly, and the soufflé is the most frequently mentioned dessert. Guests say it gets crowded at Sunday lunchtime, so it is worth booking a table in advance.
