Alicante Golf is an 18-hole, par-72 course by Playa de San Juan in Alicante, designed by Seve Ballesteros. Its unusual layout has six par 3s, six par 4s and six par 5s, so, according to the Comunitat Valenciana tourism portal, you never play two consecutive holes with the same par. Five large lakes come into play on 12 of the 18 holes, and thousands of replanted trees make it a green space in a densely built-up area. The four-star Hotel Alicante Golf stands next to the course overlooking the 18th, and the club has a practice area, a pro shop, a café and a restaurant. One golfer praises the condition of the greens and notes that some holes are a real challenge.
According to one review, a buggy is worth taking, as there are quite long transfers between holes, including through tunnels.
